Today is our final night of three in Luzern and we have found our first favorite spot of the trip. Smaller than both Paris and London, Luzern (58,000 not counting tourists) has a small town feel. The people are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is refreshing and relaxed. We have walked along their river, hiked up to a castle and paddle boated in the enormous Lake Luzern. Luckily, we’ve experienced warm weather for May and we aren’t complaining.
Switzerland is as diverse as its landscape with 4 languages used: German, French, Italian and Romansch plus most speak English, too. They like to think of themselves as residents of the world rather than residents of Switzerland. A perspective we experienced being here.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mothers!
Off to Italy…
