Radiohead (Dublin)

Picture 1: The Rainbow that revealed itself minutes before Radiohead took the stage to open their European “In Rainbows” Tour

Picture 2: We had sweet seats.

We probably couldn’t have hyped a concert any more than this one. We are on a once in a lifetime excursion and this is the only event that was officially planned before departure. The latest album has been played over 50 times on the Ipod since its release. The tickets were carried around Europe for a month in the same safety pouch as my Passport. We spent almost the entire day of June 6th standing in line to get a good seat at the show. It started raining during the opening act.

This show had all the signs leading to a disappointment similar to that of watching Speed 2 or Matrix Reloaded. But after the rainfall, the most colorful rainbow appeared (I guess the Lucky Charms commercials were right) and it seemed at that moment it was going to be a special night.

And it was. We sat front row and the show was spectacular.

Off to a week of camping in Ireland…
